I have the below scenario in which quantity planning starts with First level and based on Bill of material, planning is done at subsequent level. I have 2 dimension (i.e Header for main product and another for component require for manufacturing main product). For the Level 1 planned quantity is coming from sales quantity planning.
Through Excel formula I can calculate the material requirement of Level 2, but the issue over here is how to plan for the remaining level.
Through script logic I can copy the data from Component to product and then based on Bill of material for semi finished goods again calculate the material requirement of Level 3, but this seems to be tedious process. Any better way of doing it?
