How to lock users from inputing data to a new version

Hello All,

There is a requirement to restrict users from data input before a New version is officially announced for user's Planning.

The issue is, every month there is a maintenance period of 3 days where we do Data maintenance activity such as data copy from prior version to new version and do not want users to input data at that time. Since the Version is already available users can input data from Web Input forms.

We do use workstatus for data locking but it is not helping as the new version will be having the default work state so users can input data.

Please suggest how can we avoid user input. Is there any facility to lock web input forms.
