BPC Consolidation - Control Monitor: Sum all Company Codes

Hi Gurus,

I wanted to know if it's possible to configure control monitor and process the checks based on the sum of all my Company Codes?

I need to make sure the Total balance of one account is 0 (Sum of all entities).

As the balances at entity level are not equal to 0, the control fails:

Can't do multiple Selection in Row or Column

Hello experts,

 

I write this time because we have a requirement where the customer wants to do multiple selection for columns. We are on BPC 10.1 Component CPMBPC 810, SP Level 0009.

 

The EPM is SP 17 Patch 2.

 

I followed the steps describe in the next link to do the multiselection to test by rows and then change it by column to see if it worked.

In the image above I show the 2 reports I created. In the first one I have HOTEL Dimension as Page axis, TIME as column and ACCOUNTS as rows.

In the second report I have TIME as Columns and HOTEL as Rows.

I want to have the possibility of multiselect the dimension members in HOTEL. I'm using the fórumla EPMDMIENSION Override as is shown in the image and try to Override the HOTEL for for Report 001.

 

Am I doing anything wrong? becaus it is not working.

Formatting a Changed column/cell via DM in BPC

Hello Gurus,

 

This is Sachin here back with some more questions and I hope you will be, as always, helpful in my queries.

 

The last time I was here, I had a few queries on how to overwrite a column, Forecast column with Actual data. And I was given guidance with which I was able to accomplish that task with minimal issues.

Currently going forward with that task, I have been asked to format the sheet based on data load and input.

Example -

Forecast

Acc03789123456

 

Output -

Acc03987321654

 

Kindly note that this is the format my report is in; Actual and Forecast are members of the Dimension Category that I am using in the report.

Please find the below queries to my task and do let me know you opinions on the same.

-     Is it possible, once the Actual is copied and overwritten on the Forecast column, to change the Column Header Definition from 'Forecast' to 'Actual'

-     Kindly advise as to how to change the color format of the columns once the DM has copied the Actual data onto Forecast column - Green to Orange.

-     Also, the Forecast column is not locked, I would like to lock the cells of that column after the Actual data has been copied onto the Forecast column; Basically after the DM Copy package has copied data from Actual to Forecast, I would like that the Column Header Definition be changed, Color format of the column be changed to distinguish between Forecast and Actual and finally to lock the Actual data from future editing.

Error with EPMMemberProperty Function

Hi Experts,

 

I am facing an error when I am using EPMMemberproperty function in my report for display. In my requirement I have 2 dimensions Customer and Customer sold to party for which I have to display their properties in the report.

The error I face is when both ID's of the 2 dimensions are same i.e for e.g both member ID as "111", the function gives error #AmbiguousMemberID, and when I display both ID & description it gives another error as #Error- Invalid Member name "111".

 

I tried using EPMMemeberID in the EPMMemberProperty function, but it also doesnt seem to work. It also gives error. I have also tick marked the option for "Use EPMMemberID in EPM functions" from the "User Options". Also tried using EPMOlapMember, but no luck.

Currently  I am using EPM SP 16 patch 0 .NET framework 4.0.

Multiprovider on BPC virtual cubes not displaying data

Hi All,

 

Recently we have Post upgraded to BW 7.4 SP14, BPC 801 SP13.

 

we are unable to view the data on multiprovider but we can see the data at each virtual cube ( *_B cubes) level.

 

Before upgrade queries on multiprovider are fine but now they are not displaying any data.

How do I suppress 2 outer dimensions but keep block of 3rd dimension on row?

Hello experts,

 

I've been trying to create a report using the EPM 10 reporting that keeps the block of Accounts on the inner dimension, but suppresses based on the Profit Center and Product for the outer dimensions.  So if there are values in any account 1 thru 3 for any Profit Center and Product combination then show all 3 accounts.  Otherwise if there are no values in any account in the block, then don't show the Profit Center and Product combination.  This is simple to do using an EVDRE but I cannot find a way to do it using the EPM reporting capability.  See example below:

 

In my example, first you'll see a simple example of the data without the suppression

I've tried the Keep Blocks functionality on the Filter tab when editing the report with no success.  Any suggestions on how to achieve this?

Validation of transformation file error

Overwrite values in a column with new data based on Variable Screen Input

Hello Gurus,

 

Today has been more of a learning experience when it came to working in BPC, for the first time.

I had a series of doubts and rather than posting it one by one, I thought I will bring them all together into one single discussion.

 

(1)     Is it possible to have a Variable Screen / User Prompt for a BPC report.

     (1.1)     If yes, How do I maintain the Variables for the Variable Screen

     (1.2)     Where do I maintain them

 

(2)     I have a report that has been setup with Forecast values, and this report is run at the end of every month

At the end of the month, when the report is run, the report will have data updated for that month.

Kindly provide guidance how to come around this output, I understand for the month end - we need to run the load, but how is it that we can overwrite the Column value Forecast Month1 - Actual Month1, based on the output from the data load; Basically the data in the columns should be overwritten, it could be a Bonus if possible you could tell me how to overwrite Header values as well.

 

(3)     I would like to publish the BPC reports; can we publish BPC excel reports? How can I publish BPC reports?

Account Dimension Recods Accept but not submit in BPC system

Hi BPC Experts,

 

I am working in BPC 10.1. When i ran Account Dimension Hierarchy Package to load from BW Hierarchy, I am facing issue all my Hierarchy records accepted but not submitted in System in below image. My Appset is in Online state. Could you please help me here why i am facing this issue

BPC 7.5 to 10.0 post upgrade issues

Hi Team,

 

We have upgraded the BPC Add-on in our BW DEV server from 7.5 (CPMBPC 754 SP03) to 10.0 (CPMBPC 801 SP14)

 

Note: The BPC Web server is installed on a separate box and the BPC Add-ons are installed in BW Server.


The UJT_MIGRATE_75_TO_10 report ran successfully for the BPC Appset that we are using

Could you please help us in getting this issue resolved.

 

Also I heard that from BPC 10.0 onwards the web server is integrated into the BPC Add-ons. So can we remove the existing BPC webserver of DEV Sever as it is upgraded to 10.0.?

 

Also we are not able to login into the BPC Web admin client from IE11 browser or chrome

Followed the SAP Note 1648581 - Blank Screen in web client after upgrade to new SP

 

But still no luck. Please help us in getting the BPC 10.0 working.

I want to import my Planning Shell from DEV system to PROD with the same technical IDs of BW objects.

 

I tried to restore the shell using UJBR but failed with the error :

Restoring environment PLANNINGSHELL1 with original technical name not possible.

Unable to open EPM Excel via Web

Hi,

 

I am unable to open EPM Excel via Web page. This is happening in all team members system.

 

We also tried to reinstall EPM and Office and the issue is still persisting.


Please find the error message attached.

 

System Details:

SAP BPC 10

EPM SP 18

.NET 3.5

Office 2010

 

Do let me know if any additional information is required from my side.

in Excel 2016, 64 bit, from BPC server, the downloaded files are showing error.

Hi,

 

When I download the file from the BPC server on to desktop, it is coming up properly. it is a Excel 2010, 32-bit machine.

In other machine we have Excel 2016, 64 bit and EPM Addin SP25 is installed. When I download the report file, though pop up says as successfully downloaded, its actual size is  shown as zero bytes. No data is seen  in the downloaded file.

 

Please advise if there is any way to work seamlessly with this excel 2016, 64 bit. Please suggest if any care has to be taken.

Issue with security

Hi Experts,

 

we have one issue at security level

 

 

Users input at cost centre level for expense entries and for sales they input at profit centre level.

 

 

we have 1:N relationship between profit centre and cost centres.

PC_1 : we have CC1,CC2,CC3.


we don't have any issue with costcentre level planning, where as for sales planning we can't retrieve respective cost centre for profitcentre as the relation is 1:N.


so we created some dummy cost centres(ex:dummy_c1) under top parent (EX: all_cc) to input at profit centre level.



we have an sales input template like this. for previous year numbers we need to give all_cc to display the correct numbers for this profit centre.

the issue here is , user has access for only profitcentre  PC_1  and costcentres CC1,CC2,CC3 .However for this scenario we need to give access for ALL_CC read access to display previous year numbers (ex :2015 total)  for users.


Is there any alternate solution for this?

BPC -BW Migration issue

We have  recently migrated to BW 7.4 SP14, BPC 801 SP13.

 

We have multiprovider and it contains BPC models.

 

when i try to run bex query.. it automatically goes to debugging mode.

when i try to display data on multiprovider it displays the below error.

 

"user doeenot exist in appset "XXXX"

" An exception with the type CX_UJ_OBJ_NOT_FOUND occurred, but was neither handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause"

 

when i try to display the user list in  table UJE_USER,UJE_USER_TEAM

 

it displays zero records.

 

 

Do i need to maintain users in this table... please let me know

 

Note in prd  system we have also identified that one model missed in multiprovider but when i try to execute in dev i am getting same as above.

When EPM context changes Automatic refresh is not working

Hi All,

 

In BPF activity instance when we open the same report link for two different profit centres .The report will opens twice with two different profit centres and user doesn't want it like that,


So I have changed the report format from .XLTM to .XLSM then the issue was solved.

By selecting a first profit centre the report will open and refreshing as expected also the second profit centre is overrides the existing member on EPM context bar but not refreshing the report.


User option is enable to Automatic refresh on context changes but not use full.

Please suggest if anyone knows.

Select Other Members not workin in EPM client

Hi,

 

We have a problem where clicking "Select Other Members" in context pane does not work. Problem occurs only in my laptop and it started suddenly in one morning. No changes were made to system or my computer. I have re-installed EPM addin SP24 32-bit (10.0.0.9343), but no luck. We are using BPC 10.1 NW SP8. Windows 7, Office version 15.0.4797.1003.

 

Strange thin is that if I make the context pane bigger, "Select Other Members" works. It seems that if "Select Other Members" is outside context are, it will not work.

Issue with Currency Conversion Business Rule in BPC 10.1 NW Standard

I am trying to use the [AS_IS] keyword in the formula of one of my rules, which I have done successfully in previous versions of BPC NW.

 

The rule is as follows:

 

ID: END

 

Source Flow: REVAL

Destination Flow: TRANS

Formula: AS_IS

Force Closing: checked

 

There is local and group currency in the accounts with RATETYPE "END" for the ENTITY I am running this for.  I ran the rule with Formula [AVG] and it produced the translated results for that rate.  When I use AS_IS in the formula, no results are produced.

 

Has anyone run into this issue in NW 10.1?
