I am having Time out Problems in BPC.When I create and Dimension or an Environment, or I do a change, I am getting Error 500. The issue is that this Time out error seems that is creating versions of the model in BW.

I erased the modesl directly from BW, but when I go to the BPC Admin they seem like they still existe. I went also to TCode UJFS and I see that the components from the deleted model still exist.

When I go to the Admin and I try to delet again the model I get a Time Out error. I also tried the program UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE. Didn't updated the Admin and still see the model.

How do I delete it or how do I fix this error??

Hi,

In clients model, the used dimension type C is not the standard one (CATEGORY), but a copy of it translated to portuguese (Categoria).

When I call standard program CALC_ACCOUNT, I try to set parameters like:

*RUN_PROGRAM CALC_ACCOUNT

Categoria=Realizado

TID_RA=%TEMPO_SET%

*ENDRUN_PROGRAM

But, the program runs for all category members (Members of dimension Categoria, in this situation), like no filter is applied.

My question is... is there a specific way of setting filter in CALC_ACCOUNT for members of a C-type dimension that isn't the standard dimension CATEGORY? Any extra configuration?

If in the Calculation I just left %VALUE% the value in the Scope will be saved in PERIODO %T% and Categoria= "Sugerido".

But when i Try to multipy by the inflation that is store as described in the code:

Need a quick help on the following scenario.

In my worksheet, I am overriding the input form based on the selection from 'Epmselectmultimember' function. Accordingly after selection, will do a sheet refresh and take the selection to the input form. I unlocked these range of cells  - Select member cell and its range, then added the sheet protection. But after protecting the sheet, the 'Epmselectmultimember' is not working. Please find attached the screenshot for your reference.

I've created a transformation file which I'm using for importing transaction data from BW.

I'm trying to create a rule for dimension FLOW in the transformation file that:

If the G/L account type (dimension ACCOUNT, property ACCTYPE) is AST or LEQ, put FLOW as F99., i.e. *STR(F99)

If the G/L account type (dimension ACCOUNT, property ACCTYPE) is INC or EXP, put FLOW as F10., i.e. *STR(F10)

Is this achievable via Javascript?

I couldn't find any standard transformation formula that can do that....

We have a  epm Workbook with multible reports and input forms. How is It possible to change i.e. the entity dimension for all Reports / Input Forms at the same time? I think "edit" is not the most efficient way. thanks for your help

Hi, we migrated our BW system to HANA data base, also necessary BPC EPM Add in updates are performed. After loading the data to HANA model/cube, we observed that, the data is doubled for the days after HANA migration happened. 

/CPMB cube/model is displaying the values correctly in BW system, but the report in EPM Addin or web, is doubling the amounts for the last 2 days after HANA DB migration. We tried to clear the data in BPC, it gets cleared in the model/cube but not on the front end, still showing up in the EPM report for these 2 days only. We are unable to clear it. the problem exists on multiple user systems.

I think, there is some cache which is not getting cleared on the BPC application server side causing the issue. but not sure, if you can share your thoughts on this that would be helpful.

What we have done so far,

1. Cleared metadata cache from EPM Addin user options -- > more -- > Clear Cache data

2. Checked the RSRCACHE transaction to see any log there, nothing found.

3. Run the UJA Data checker program, no inconsistencies found,

4. Run the UJA DIM Cache program, no luck.

5. Run the program BPC_HANA_MIGRATE_FROM_10, did not work

6. Run the program UJHANA_REFRESH_VIR_CUBE, no luck

7. Run the program UJHANA_SYNC did not work

we are trying all the possibilities, please let us know if there is something we are missing here.

In the 2nd formula I would like to use the result of Formula 1 and add the value of another postion but this time a add another selection. It Looks like this

The result is the value onf KF_ONE ... Why don't I get the Value for the 2nd part?

Below error message appears in QA when work status is enabled, although it works in Dev.

Only 0 dimensions are allowed as the lock dimensions for work status

Work status is enabled upon BPC environment transport, however same issue appears when trying to make changes or disable and enable it.

Work status virtual cube is active and UJW work status table entries are same in Dev and QA.

Any suggestions would help.

I was requested to automate full reload of master data to one dimension in the model with full reload of transactional data on the daily basis.

Both master data and transactional data are available as csv files.

I decided to implement the following sequence (DM packages with below mentioned chains):

1. /CPMB/CLEAR to clear al data in the model

2. /CPMB/LIGHT_OPTIMIZE with Zero Elimination enabled

3. /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER with Overwrite and Clear All - only single dummy member imported.

4. /CPMB/IMPORT_MASTER from csv file with dimension master data.

5. /CPMB/IMPORT from csv file with transactional data.

Successfully tested all individual DM packages (on BPC 800 and 801).

Then I decided to create a package link to combine all 5 steps.

And the last step during the package link execution doesn't store transactional data in the model!

The log shows Success, correct number of records submitted...

But no values on the report and in the cube using RSA1.

After some investigation I managed to found the missing records in the Fact table, but with incorrect SID for the dimension that was reloaded in the previous step. The SID was equal to the previous SID of the member (before dimension master data reload).

Any idea to insert some step before loading transaction data to refresh SID's?

P.S. For sure I can create 2 package links with some time interval between (one for master data the second for transactional data). But looking for more elegant solution...

In the scope dimension, there are property /field called 'Parent Group', 'Elimination Rule'.

What are the real use of these fields. Appreciate inputs.

For a particular entity, the non controlling interest amount has to be calculated with different percentage for different GL accounts.

Example a ENTITY 1000 needs to be consolidated in its parents scope as follows:

Equity account ( Group share is 80%, Non controlling is 20%)

Retained earnings ( Group share is 80%, Non controlling is 20%)

Current year Netincome ( Group share is 60%, Non controlling is 40%).

How to calculate different minority interest percentage to different account in consolidation using only one POWN account formula.

Our intention is to turn on the 'Use as Source of data' in one of the model>features.

Please advise if this is a transportable setting or this setting should be turned on manually in each system in the landscape.

If this is transportable, what exactly should be collected in RSA1 please? The Model structure alone?

I found some old threads which indicate this needs to be turned on manually in each system. Am not sure if that has changed since then.

Hi Experts,

On excel client side whenever we access Profit Center dimension in our expense model, it is loaded as flat structure and losing the hierarchy. This is happening even though there were no master data updates made to this dimension. We have to refresh metadata several times for this hierarchy to load correctly and sometimes even log off and log back in for it to load the hierarchy.

Did anyone experienced this kind of behavior. This is consistently happening only to the Profit center dimension. That has about 13,200 members.Please advise  how to correct this issue.Any help is very much appreciated.

Our system configuration is BPC NW10.1, SP4 and Excel client is SP21.

In Embedded BPC, the Characteristic "/ERP/GL_ACCT" was used as the account dimension.

However, I notice that it only one attribute and does not include all the attributes which is included in standard BPC such as ACCTYPE, RATETYPE etc,

If there is currency translation is need in the planning model, how could the system know which rate should be applied since there is no RATETYPE in the account dimension?
