Unable to see BPC-BPF instances after Process template changes

Hello Experts ,

 

 

We had an issue , we are unable to create BPF and not able to see previous BPF as well  in BPC 10.1. so far it is working but we made changes in process template from that day on words we are unable to create new Process instance and we are facing issue like  "retrieving the instance list failed .. see details and it's Dump in BW system like HTTP:/ 500 SAP Internal server Error  and  "ZERO object reference is not possible".


Please find the attachment for reference and error details ..


Could any one help me on the error what needs to be a solution.

Restore of Environment

Hi,

 

 

System details: BPC 10 NW SP17, BW 7.3, EPM Add-In SP21.

 

We want the test Large Key Figure on the Backup of the Production Environment.

 

We want to restore the Backup with a different name in DEV system. here, have some doubts.

1. Will it possible to restore it with a different name.

2. If yes, as the technicals names are same, will the restore will happen without any issues.

Syntax for HLEVEL for EPMDimensionOverride function

Dear Friends,

 

What should be the syntax of pulling the HLEVL in EPMDIMENSONOVERRIDE function.  I have a report in 10.1  and in row axis I have account dimension. The expansion is created using EPMDIMENSONOVERRIDE function.

 

Now  I have a requirement in which I need to pull HLEVEL=4  for PNL hierarchy and I am using syntax PNL(HLEVEL="4"). But this is not working.

Overlapping Local Member failing the formatting of the report

Dear BPC Friends,

 

I have local member in Col AI and Row 58 & 69. Col AI has  formula that need to be displayed in percentage. Row 58 & 69 had  sum formula of nine rows above it.  I tried following options, but none of them worked.

 

Scenario-1: In the formatting sheet, I have made Row as priority and hence Cell AI58 & AI69 do not show data in percentage

Scenario-2: When I make Column as priority the color format  of row 58 & 69 (ie. gray color) do  not show up in  Col AI.

I also added local member in row format and made  row as priority. The result is same as scenario 1. I  then made the column as priority and the result is same as Scenario 2

 

What  I want is   percentage format and gray color in Cell AI 58 and AI 69

One of included in Default.lgf sript logic doesn't work (BPC 10 NW)

Hello!

We'r facing a problem with Default scipt logic, to be more specific - with one of included sript logic, that doesn't want to work.

 

So our Default.lgf is looking like this:

So when we send some data on the scoped region via input schedule, the logic PL_CALC doesn't work. But at the same time if we run it in UJKT - everything works fine. The third Include (Allocate_segm) is work fine when we send some data via input schedule.

Characteristic ZCOSTCTR is not mapped to any attributes in the SAP HANA model Error

Hi,

 

 

Currently we are working on NW BPC 10.1 Unified model.

 

We are trying to add ZPER(performer) and ZREV(reviewer) to /ERP/COSTCTR.

 

we followed below document

According to the document we created Z Info object(ZCOSTCNTR) and calculation view.

 

While assigning the view name we are getting the bellow errors.

 

"Characteristic ZCOSTCTR is not mapped to any attributes in the SAP HANA model."

 

And the also find the attached screen shots.

ADSO as BPC Model in BPC Web Admin

Hi All,

 

We are working on a brand new BPC 10.1 Embedded environment. And in DataWarehousing workbench, I have ADSOs (of type Planning) and Real Time InfoCubes. I even created Aggregates on both ADSOs and Real Time InfoCubes. However, when I was trying to create a Model in BPC Web Admin client, I do not see ADSOs as an option. All I can see is Real Time InfoCubes as an option to select as BPC Model. I am just curious to know whether there are any additional settings to be done so that I can see ADSO also as an option.

Package link warning status

Hi All,

 

Package link use to get succeeded status even if we get warnings in individual packages.

We have upgraded 10 to 10.1 and rescheduled package link after which we are getting warning status for package link.

Please let me know anyone suggestions to show succeeded status for package link.

How to kill BPC NW DM package runs already finished executing in BW

Hi,

 

Sometimes the DM packages keep on running as zombies in datamanger View package status screen. But in the background the execution is finished. The  correcposning BW jobs are either completed successfully or cancelled, whatever.

 

Now, how can we remove or kill or stop these package runs in the View Package status screen?

 

I have tried Delete but it says You cannot cancel a running package , though its actually not running.

 

I have tried Abort but that doesnt work either. I donot get any message.

 

We are using SAP BPC 7.5 NW SP12.

 

Please doe let me know your suggestions.

Administration of BPC roles from SAP ‘best practice perspective’

Hello Colleagues,

 

Would you please help to clarify the following -

 

The customer has just implemented BPC.

 

The customer's SAP CoE team incorporates the standard SAP security team administering the SAP landscape, but following the BPC rollout the BPC roles are currently being administrated by the finance (business) team and away from the core SAP Security team.(Should this be consolidated into central team?)

 

The business are currently looking to retain this role, so my customer would appreciate understanding SAP's recommendation on the provisioning of BPC roles administration.

BPC 10.1 Embedded (1511 S4/HANA) BPF - Cannot Find EPM Workbook In Workspace

Hello all,

 

I am working with BPC For S/4HANA Finance (1511 On Premise FPS V1 install).

 

I am attempting to create a BPF for activities and link my EPM workbooks to particular steps of the activities via hyperlinks.

 

Create BPF Process Instance

Create Workspace

Add Hyperlink

Target Action->Microsoft Excel->Browse

 

Once I go to browse and I see folders for (Public, Private and Team) there are NO files available to select.

 

However when I go to Excel and via the EPM Add-In, within that model I have my EPM saved files in the public folder.

 

Is there some setting I have to change or have I incorrectly set something up? I haven't paid too much attention to the performer/reviewer, driving dimension and other parts of the BPF as I assume (as with Standard BPC) this shouldn't affect me seeing workbooks in the model.

BPC Web Client Text Off (For S/4HANA Finance Embedded) 1511 On Prem FPS V1

Hi all,

 

I'm using BPC For S/4HANA Finance (Embedded) 1511 On Premise FPS V1 and the web client resolution and text is completely off.

 

I've tried using this on various local machines, browsers and various installs of S/4HANA and all of the results are the same.

 

Please see the attached screen as text overlaps each other and overall the items on the web client look "off", please advise.

SAP BPC Model Deletion Error

Hi,

 

When we are deleting a Model from Environment in BPC Admin.

 

Getting the error as below

 

Dereferencing of the NULL reference

 

An exception of type 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL' occurred, that was not caught anywhere in the call hierarchy. It was not handled locally or declared using a RAISING clause.

 

After getting this error, All Models in the environment are not working and when i try to check the models in BPC Admin, below error appears.

No Entries under consolidation

Hi All,

 

We have set up a new scope(G_NEW) and have some  entities that are part of it in the ownership manager.

 

I have taken the reference of other scope(which works) while creating the new one,so I believe, there is no issue with the scope master data.

Below are steps we carried out.

 

1. Entered PCTRL,POWN under G_NONE in input form and have calculated, so that the calculated values come up, System generated values come up and it

2. Calculated through direct share method and the system generated values are correct.

 

However when I consolidate them(either through Consolidation monitor or through data manager), the status shows success, but I can none of the records are processed. Please could you assist if I have missed something over here?

 

I get following message when consolidation package is ran.

 

APPLICATION:Consolidation

RUN CURRENCY CONVERSION

0  SUBMITTED, 0  SUCCESS, 0  FAIL.

RUN CONSOLIDATION

0  SUBMITTED, 0  SUCCESS, 0  FAIL.

 

 

 

Also are the system generated values mandatory for consolidation output, what happens if the values(system generated) are zero and input are 100?

Implement SAP Note 2290309 BPC 10.1 Embedded BPF enhancement for integration with Analysis Office Plug-In

Hi to all BPC 10.1 Embedded Experts,

I'am currently facing an Issue while implementing the SAP Note 2290309. For example when using an Analysis Office Workbook in a defined Process Template the parameters are not passed correctly. This note should fix the issue.

 

The mentioned SAP Note describes a manual activity as following:

This manual action is to create transformation file "RSBPC_WEB_TRANS_AO_LAUNCH_JSON".

1. Run T-Code "SE80" and go to package "RSBPC_WEB_SERVICE".

2. Create simple transformation file "RSBPC_WEB_TRANS_AO_LAUNCH_JSON" and as below

 

The XML code (see attached XML file) is not valid and the transformation can't be activated. For example opening <tt:cond> tags and the including conditions are missing.

 

The error is also fixed with the following releases

BW750(Component SAP_BW) Support Package 04

BW740(Component SAP_BW) Support Package 15

 

Is there somebody who can share the correct XML code for the simple transformation RSBPC_WEB_TRANS_AO_LAUNCH_JSON.

Configuration of the account and flow dimension

Hello Experts,

 

I have one question to the configuration of the account and flow dimension.

I set it in former BPC Versions and it works but at the current project it does not work well, so I hope to get an answer from you.

 

I have some balance sheet accounts and IS accounts in my account dimension.

So I have the ID of the accounts, description, typelim, accounttype, ratetype and the inputflows.

In the column inputflows I put some flows which should be entered at the account.

f.e. in account 1261000 there should be just an entry on the flows END, F15, F16, F19

 

In logic script for consolidation in default I put the calculation of END

 

*WHEN MOVEMENTTYPE.PARENTH1

*IS "F99","599","E70","E90"

*REC(FACTOR = 1, MOVEMENTTYPE = "END")

*ENDWHEN

*COMMIT

 

But I have a problem with the data entry, The calculation of the flows on END works well but I can still enter data on this account on the flow END (it should be a calculated flow) and also on other flows f.e. E20 which is not allowed. BPC takes the entries of data on other flows which are no in the column inputflows for this account.

 

Have someone an idea whats wrong with the configuration or can someone helps with it?

Data Load from ECC to BI and from BI to BPC for Legal Consolidation

We need to load the Data for Legal Consolidation. I need to understand the strategy for mapping Movement Types while loading data into BPC.

I need to validate the following.

 

1. Period 000 data needs to be mapped to F_OP (Cumulative Balance with Flow Type 999 and 100)

2. Movement Types 100 (Op Bal), 120 (Acquisition), 140 (Retirement) needs to be mapped to F_OP, F_ACQ & F_RET respectively.

3.Closing Balance needs to be Calculated through OP Bal +- Movements= CL Bal

4. Suppose we need to do Quarterly consolidation from September 2016, we need to load the balances for August  (Cumulative Balance with Flow Type 999 and 100) and we need to load Debits and Credits with respective Flows for the month of September.

 

Is this Understanding correct?

 

Can anybody suggest me the correct approach?
